Torridge District Council has prepared a draft Wind Energy Policy document and would like to invite you to have your say. The draft Wind Energy Policy sets out the Council’s expectations with regards to proposals for wind energy development. The aim of this document is to provide clear guidance to prospective developers. The guidance also advocates a more transparent process, which should result in positive engagement with those likely to be affected by wind energy development.
Comments on the draft policy document are being invited for a period of eight weeks between 19th November 2009 and 15th January 2010.
The document can be viewed:
- online via this Consultation Portal
- on the Council Website
- from the Council Offices (Riverbank House, Bideford; Manor Offices, Holsworthy and Castle Hill, Torrington)
- at the Public Libraries across the District (Appledore, Bideford, Holsworthy, Northam and Torrington)
You can let the Council have your views by either:
- submitting your comments online through this Consultation Portal; or
- completing and return a comment submission form:

Comment submission forms, suitable for completing electronically or for printing and completing by hand, are available to downloaded below, or alternatively can be obtained at any of the locations listed above.
