Planning Obligations SPD Sustainability Appraisal

The Planning Obligations SPD sets out Torridge District Councils approach, policies and procedures in respect of Planning Obligations, otherwise known as Section 106 Agreements. It is required to have a Sustainability Appraisal to identify any likely Social, Economic and Environmental impacts. The Planning Obligations SPD is expected to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Objectives of the Local Development Framework for Torridge District Council. The Sustainability Appraisal outlines the expected effects of the SPD, both positive and negative. It proposes mitigation where relevant and appropriate. It show indicators that will be used to establish whether the predictions were correct and to fill gaps in the knowledge base. It also has a draft Monitoring Framework.
